Your team will work alongside the Orphan Outreach Kenya staff to provide care and ministry support for children, teens, and families in Nairobi, Bungoma, and Narok. You’ll lead activities and spend times in the homes of families, providing support and encouragement. You’ll also learn more about Kenya, often called “the Cradle of Humanity.” On your two-day safari, you’ll experience vibrant cultures from more than 40 ethnic groups, welcoming communities, and landscapes known for some of the world’s most remarkable wildlife.
This trip is designed for WOW members who want to make an impact in the world around them. Your trip will be led by experienced Orphan Outreach staff who know your ministry opportunities, the country and the culture intimately.
What’s Included:
Ground transportation, double occupancy lodging near ministry programs, meals, bottled water, translators, training, tips, and insurance.
Land cost does not include airline baggage fees, souvenirs, optional excursions or activities, or snacks. Air transportation costs vary by origin city, time of year, length of stay, and number of participants. Orphan Outreach can help you arrange your air travel, or you may manage this personally.
Where you'll serve:
Your Orphan Outreach trip coordinator: Christina George
Your team leader: Margo Isbell. Margo Isbell is Development Director for OO. She began her work with Orphan Outreach as a volunteer mission trip leader, and is a founding member of Women for Orphans Worldwide (WOW/Dallas Chapter). Margo's passion to serve orphaned and vulnerable children began 20 years ago when she and her husband adopted their daughter, Olivia, from Guatemala. She joined the OO staff in 2016. Margo also has two sons, Andrew and Matthew.
Your team leader: Tiffany Wines. Tiffany and her husband traveled to Russia in the late 1990s for the adoption of their two infant children. That journey called her to dedicate herself to making a difference in the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children. Tiffany is a co-founder of both Orphan Outreach and Women for Orphans Worldwide, the volunteer-led auxiliary serving ministry programs in Guatemala and around the world. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas Christian University and a Graduate Marketing Certificate from Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. She was a partner of a marketing firm for 12 years before responding to the call to full-time orphan care ministry in 1999.
